The Export Current Map tool available within both Surety® and Surety® Pro allows users to take currently selected or drawn borders and export them to different file formats to be saved to your computer and used within other software or devices.

Surety® Pro subscriptions also have the ability to export a Tab Delimited file or shapefile containing boundaries and attributes of their saved form or custom layer records.

Export Current Map

Start by drawing or selecting map boundaries to be able to export the boundaries. No boundary is required when exporting as a tiff or jpeg image.

The export page can be accessed in a variety of methods.

Click on File in the Surety/Surety Pro menu bar then hover over Export and click on Current Map

You can also find an Export link within the list of forms in the right hand panel.

An Export button is available within the list of functions on any map/form when viewing the web page version of the form.

The Export dialog box will open giving you 7 options for exporting (saving to your computer) the current borders.

SHP - Selected or Drawn Borders 

This is useful for saving drawn or selected borders to a shape file for use in different devices used in the field.

You can change the file name that is exported by typing a different name in the Output filename textbox.
Note: This will assign the name to the actual specific types of files and not the Zip folder they will be downloaded as.

This option will export the selected or drawn borders as a zip file with four files that make up the shape file: .dbf, .prj, .shp, and .shx

SHP - Soils Within Selected Borders

This option will export the selected or drawn area as a shape file which contains Soils information.

You can change the file name that is exported by typing a different name in the Output filename textbox.

Georeferenced Jpeg Image of Current View

This option will export the area as a Georeferenced .jpg image file. 

You can change the file name that is exported by typing a different name in the Output filename textbox.

GeoTIFF Image of Current View

A geoTIFF is an image file of the current map in TIF format that contains georeferencing information. The export includes a .tif, .prj, and a .jgw file. This image file type can be imported into many different GIS mapping programs.

Change the filename of the output with the Output filename column.

Satloc Job File

SatLoc job files are used within SatLoc navigation devices to display the exported polygons.

Satloc has 3 different job file formats, select the appropriate format from the drop down.

You can change the file name that is exported by typing a different name in the Output filename text box. (Note that if you are exporting the Intellitrac and AirStar, you must name the file a number (0-999). The SatLoc® job file has 3 different methods of download depending on your preference.

If you are selecting more than one file type to export  then you will just need to select the checkbox along with whatever else you are downloading then click Export. This option will package all selected options into a zip file.

If you want to simply download only the .job file individually without placing it into a zipped folder then you can use the Download link.

If you have a SatLoc® G4 device in the aircraft and the SatLoc Cloud program you can send the file directly to the desired Asset(aircraft) by clicking on the Wireless Transfer link. (Note: your SatLoc Cloud credentials must be saved into your account by going to File > Third Party API Access )

KML - Selected or Drawn Border file that can be used in the Google maps application.

You can change the file name that is exported by typing a different name in the Output filename textbox.

Similar to the SatLoc Job files, KML files can skip being zipped into a compressed folder and instead be directly downloaded. If just downloading the KML file type, simply click on the Download Link in the far right column.

GeoJSON

A GeoJSON file is a filetype with a .json extension and is a geospatial data interchange format based on JavaScript Object Notation (JSON). It is a common filetype used within different geospatial mapping software.

Either use the checkbox to include the .json file within the Exported zip file or use the Download link to the right to export just the .json file by itself.

AgPilotX users can use the AgPilotX Wireless Transfer to wirelessly send the .json file directly to their machine setup using the AgHippo software.

When you have the desired export file types selected and the output filenames set as desired, click the "Export" button.

A dialogue box will appear with the ability to rename the generated zip file and a Download button to save your file. The default zip file name will include all of the selected output filenames from the previous step. Click on Download to save the file to your computer or device.

The downloaded zip file can be extracted to view all of the contained files from the download.
