The Dossier Studio's export functions in Surety® Pro include the ability to export a number of Aerial application forms within the Dossier Studio as one batched SatLoc job file. The boundaries are assigned in the order defined within the Dossier Studio.

Start by opening the Dossier Studio from the File > Dossier Studio drop down menu.

This will open the Dossier Studio in a new tab and allow you to quickly move back and forth from the mapping program to the Dossier Studio.

For now, switch back to the Surety Mapping System tab.

For this process we need to be using a form that has the Download Job option available. This includes the Aerial, Aerial with GPA, or any custom designed form containing the Download Job option.

We will start at the very beginning of the process which is saving the Aerial Application forms to your Surety Pro account. After selecting your client, select the desired field and choose Aerial, Aerial with GPA or your own custom Aerial application form.

Fill out the form to the desired completion. -Hint- It is recommended to fill out the Status so the records are easily sorted out within the Form Manager later.

From here we can do one of 2 things:
  • Save and close the application form and add it to the Dossier Studio once all of this particular jobs work orders are created and saved
    OR
  • Add the work order to the Dossier immediately from the form.

Adding records to the batch as they are created.
If you would like to add jobs to the Dossier Studio as they are created, simply click the Dossier Studio button on the form.

If you clicked the Dossier Studio button, the form is added to the Dossier Studio, DO NOT close the Dossier Studio if it opens, leave it open and make sure you move back to the Surety Mapping System tab.

Continue creating the work orders for this job's fields, clicking on the Dossier Studio button on each of them to add them into the open Dossier Studio. Feel free to switch between clients if you need, just remember to leave the Dossier Studio tab open until you are done exporting the batch job file.

For this example I will create 3 work orders total to add to my jobs packet in the Dossier Studio but feel free to add as many work orders to the Dossier as you need.

Switch back to the Dossier Studio Tab

If you have been adding the Work Orders to the Dossier as you go, then just make sure the Dossier Studio is open with all of your Aerial Forms available in the Table of Contents,

Add multiple saved records to the batch from the Form Manager.
If you already have a number of saved forms and want to add them all at once to the Dossier Studio, click on the Form Manager link.

Find the Forms that you want added to this particular spray job, select them and click More > Paradigm

Click the "Saved Form" option ( or Saved Form + FSA Map depending on what all you want to add to the map packet.)

The Dossier Studio will load all selected forms in the Table of contents.

 Hint -If you plan on printing out the maps as well as exporting them to a job file, then you may want to generate an Overview Map containing all border on one map. (See: Add an Overview Map to the Dossier)
Click and drag each map record in the table of contents to re-arrange the order of the borders that will be listed in the job file when brought up in the aircraft.

Then go to Export > To Batch Job File

Give the Job a name and click Save. Note: Make sure you meet the naming requirements of the SatLoc device that you are uploading the job file in. Some models require a 3 digit number as the file name.

Your browser settings will determine what prompts next. If a Save As Dialogue appears you can select a specific device and/or folder to save the .job file in.

If there was no Save As.. Dialogue box that appeared, then it is most likely that your file has been placed in the Downloads folder on your computer.

From here the .JOB file can be copied or moved to the Removable device that will be connected to the SatLoc device.
