After putting together a packet of maps in the Dossier Studio, it may be valuable to save the progress of it in order to come back to it and modify or add to it in the future.
This tutorial will go over:
How to save a packet of maps as a Dossier file
Two ways to reopen a saved map packet in the future.
Save a Packet of Maps and/or Forms as a "Dossier"
¶
After adding at least one map or form to the Dossier Studio (See:
Add a Map, Form or Report to the Dossier Studio
), click on File then click
Save Dossier as...
Name this group of maps and then click Save.
The Dossier will save to the
Client
and
Crop Year
if selected. If no client is selected, then the dossier will be available for any client that is selected or even if there is no client selected.
Change which client the dossier is saving to by clicking on the client name and selecting a different client.
See Below
Open a Saved Dossier
¶
There are two ways to open a saved Dossier within Surety Pro.
One way is to open the Form Manager
Change the tab to Dossier Manager
Select the client that the Dossier is saved to
Click the name of the Dossier that you want to reopen
This is also where you can Delete a Dossier record by clicking on the trashcan icon next to the record.
The other method of opening a Dossier is within the Dossier Studio itself.
Open the Dossier Studio (
File > Dossier Studio
)
Select the client (if not already selected) that the Dossier is saved under by clicking on the client name in the Dossier Studio
Go to File > Open Dossier
Click the record to open.
The name of the Dossier will display above the table of contents.
Save Dossier record under a different client and/or crop year.
¶
You are able to change where the Dossier packet record is filed under by first opening the Dossier record as outlined
in the above steps
.
Once it is open in the Dossier Studio, click on the the current client to select a new one.
backspace out of the current client and /or cropyear to select a new or different one.
After the new client is selected go to
File > Save Dossier
to overwrite the previous Dossier or
File > Save Dossier As...
to save a copy and retain the Dossier in the original client record. (
Note: you must give a new name to the Dossier in this instance.
