Saving points to a custom point layer within Surety Pro¶

To save points you first need to either import a custom point layer (See: Import Custom Layer (via shapefiles)) or create a point layer within the Forms Designer

Choose a client

Switch the tool to Select

mark the point that you would like to create a point record for

Click on the name of the custom point layer within your Form List.

Enter the desired data and click Save

You can toggle the Point on/off as well as modify its properties by accessing the Layers panel and finding the name of the custom point layer.

Click the link to pull up the properties window (see:Form Layer Properties)

Saving a drawn line to a custom line layer within Surety Pro¶

To save lines you first need to either import a custom line layer (See: Import Custom Layer (via shapefiles)) or create a Line Layer within the Forms Designer

Choose a client

Switch the tool to Drawing then choose the "Draw Line" option

Draw out your line and double click to end it.(See:Draw Line Tool

Click on the name of the custom line layer within your Form List.

Enter the desired data and click Save

You can toggle the Line on/off as well as modify its properties by accessing the Layers panel and finding the name of the custom point layer.

Click the link to pull up the properties window (see:Form Layer Properties)

Managing a Custom Point and Line Layers (Edit/Update/Delete/Export)¶

Switch the tool to Select

Select the Line or Point that you wish to edit.

Method 1
Click the name of the Custom layer it is saved to in the Forms List

Click Edit Existing...

Edit saved form information then click "Save", Delete the record with the "Delete" button, or modify the placement of the line/point with the "Draw/Edit" button.

Method 2

Click on Form Manager under the form list

The point or line record will be the checked row. (Use "Only Show Selected" to narrow the list)

From here you can either:
click on any part of that row (excluding the check box) to pull up the saved record.

or use any of the Form Manager tools including the ability to "Export Selected" as a shapefile to the local computer. (See: Forms Manager for a walk-through of the Forms Manager capabilities)
