Display guides that divide the sections into quarter and sixteenth divisions on the map using the Quarter Section layer and the Quarter Section Quarters layer.

These layers are available in both Surety® and Surety® Pro subscriptions.

Quarter Sections

When a section is divided into 4 equal areas (NW, SW, NE, SE), each area is commonly referred to as a quarter section. 

Click the Layers button in the right panel then scroll down to the Other category and click on the plus "+" to expand the category.

Scroll down further if necessary and click in the box to turn on the Quarter Section lines on the map.

They will appear as dotted black lines and each quarter section will be labeled with the proper direction (NW, NE, SW, SE)

Quarter Section Quarters

When that Quarter section is broken up again into 4 equal areas, this is known as the quarter section quarters or quarter quarter sections.

This layer is also found under the "Other" expansion in the layers panel

When enabled, it divides each quarter section into 4 parts and also labels them NE, NW, SE, and SW.

Section, Quarter Section, and Quarter Section Quarters Layer style within the Deed Studio

The Surety Pro add-on feature, Deed Studio, displays the Section, Quarter Section, and Quarter Section Quarters layers differently than the main mapping interface.

The sections are a thick grey line.
The Quarter section's grey lines are medium thickness.
The Quarter Quarter sections's lines are a thin grey line.
