In Surety® Pro, once you save your borders you may want to assign Farm Name and/or Field Name properties to them. It also might be necessary to delete a saved border all together.

This all can be accomplished by using the Edit Borders function.

If you want to change the actual boundary of a saved border, then go to the Edit & Update saved border boundaries support page.

Assign Farm Name and Field Name to a saved border

First either save a border or locate a saved border.

Use the select tool to place an "X" inside the border.

Image

Click on Edit Borders located beneath the list of Forms and Reports in the right hand panel.

Image

You can now configure this border's Farm Name and Field Name (Field ID) from this window.

Image

If you select multiple borders and then click on Edit Borders...

Image

The bottom will show the acres and the number of fields selected.

Begin by Filling out the Farm name and then clicking Tab on your keyboard to move to the Field name entry.

Image

Once you click Save...

Image

A message will appear letting you know the border was saved and updated.

Image

Once ok is clicked, the border will turn green again and the Field ID (if entered) will appear above the acre amount in the border.

Image

If this border is selected and an application form is generated, the field ID(s) will automatically be pulled from the map and placed in the form.

Change / Edit / Modify a saved border's Field ID and/or Farm Name

In order to change a borders attributes just re-select that border again.

Then click edit borders.

Rename the attribute(s) and click Save.

Note: Changing the attributes of the border this will not change the name of this field retroactively on previous forms that were generated on this border. They will retain their old Field ID name unless manually modified.

Navigate / Find a saved border using its Farm Name or Field ID

If you have been assigning farm names and field ids to borders, then you can quickly zoom the map to their location.

To find all fields with a particular Farm Name, click the white box next to Farm Name below the client selected to bring up the names of all of the saved Farm names.

Image

If one is selected, the map will zoom to a level that shows all borders with that farm name and also automatically selects them for you.

Image

If you want to zoom to a particular field, left click in the white box next to Field ID: to bring up all of the field IDs that belong to the above Farm Name.

Image

Select one of the field IDs in the drop-down to zoom to that particular field and automatically select it (as shown by the Cyan field border).

Image

Note: you can also solely use the Field ID dropdown without selecting a Farm name first to select from a list of all saved field IDs.

Image

If you see a item labeled "(not set)" this means that there is one or more saved border without that attribute assigned. It can still be selected however, and will bring up all fields without that attribute.

Delete a Border
