For this example, a section - township - range will be entered into the yellow search bar and then either type the enter key on the keyboard or click the magnifying glass to the right of the yellow search box to perform the search.
Note that if there are duplicate results, click on the desired result in the results pop-up. For this example, we are looking for a field within Holt County, NE.
The map will zoom to the location selected. Close the search results to view the map.
Alternatively, the Zoom In, Zoom Out and Pan tools can be utilized to locate the Area of Interest.
When zooming into a section view, the
Select
tool will automatically be enabled in the left panel. If the map contains the desired boundaries (FSA Fields) then simply left click within the boundary or boundaries you wish to have highlighted on the report or form.
Tip: Click the first point again to close the polygon boundary.
If the yellow FSA Field boundaries do not match the desired boundary, switch to the
Drawing
tool and use the Draw Field option to single click around an area to create a polygon.
Once a boundary has been selected or drawn, use the links in the upper portion of the right-hand panel to generate a printable/savable report including a Soil Map, a full page Aerial Map (FSA Map), and many more.
The
FSA Map
option will produce a full page 8.5in x 11in Aerial map.
Once the report is generated, use the buttons on the right to save, email, or print.
