The radio button is a selection tool used in this
OR
that situations.
When using the radio buttons you want the user to be able to select only one of the options.
Placing a Radio Button in the Forms Designer
¶
Click on the Radio Button in the left panel
Place them on the canvas by left clicking where you want to drop the buttons. You will want multiple radio buttons for your users to choose from so keep clicking on the canvas until you have the number that you want on the canvas.
We don't want to place any more radio buttons so now click on the select button to change off of Radio button.
Select each individual radio button and enter what that radio button will represent in the text properties box.
Once all of your radio buttons are assigned, highlight them all by clicking and dragging a selection box around all of them.
Once they are all highlighted, we want to change the Name so they are all the same.
This tells the program that only one of the radio buttons can be chosen by the user.
Make sure you test and make sure that the radio buttons are working after you release the form they are used on.
