Deed Studio OCR

The Deed Studio Premium Add-on is packaged with its own OCR (optical character recognition) software. This tool capable of taking a jpeg image and converting to an editable block of text to then use in the Deed Studio. Please note that the quality and size of the image will directly affect the accuracy of the generated text.

Upload a jpeg to convert to text

The OCR transcribes only Jpeg images at this time. To learn how to create a Jpeg image of text from a different filetype such as a pdf, CLICK HERE or scroll to the bottom section of this page.

To use the Deed Studio OCR, first open the Deed Studio by going to File > Deed Studio

Click on the OCR button.

click to browse and upload a .jpeg image into the OCR

Once it is done converting, right click and Select All

Then right click and copy

Image

Then paste it into your text box and correct any inaccuracies from the original text.

Create a JPEG image from a pdf document. (on a PC)

First, open your pdf document in Adobe Viewer or Adobe Acrobat and position the document on your screen so all of the text can be see. (it can help the end if the scale is set to a higher level such as 150%.)

Then go to Edit > Take Snapshot

Left click and drag a selection across all the text you want converted.

Now open up MS Paint (hint: search for it after clicking on the Start button)

Click the Paste button to paste your text into the program.

Then go to File > Save > JPEG and save the image to your desktop or somewhere it can be easily located.

Now it is ready to be imported into the OCR.
