The Dossier Studio contains the ability to annotate the maps and forms created within Surety Pro with different Symbols as well as images or pictures and eventually audio and video (future release).

These features are very useful for marking out land classifications, different crops, sensitive areas, pointing out certain land features, and much more.

The Dossier Studio opens up even more possibilities by allowing the import of custom symbols that are unique to each account.

The Media Studio is located to the right of the opened page in the Dossier and contains tabs on the top of the panel to indicate what type of media library you are accessing.

The first tab indicates the symbols library.

The second tab indicates the imported pictures library

The third and fourth tabs are reserved for future capabilities of importing video and audio.

Symbols

After adding a map or form to the Dossier Studio (See: How to add a Map, Form or Report to the Dossier Studio) we can start adding symbols by first clicking on the symbols tab in the Media Studio panel.

The pre-loaded symbols are categorized by type.

Click on a category to access the symbols for use.

To place a symbol on the added map or form, left click the symbol so it is highlighted then left click on the currently open page to place it.

Scale the symbol by left clicking on the icon and bringing up the scaling nodes

Rotate by clicking and dragging the extended node on the top of the symbol

Pictures

Uploaded pictures appear under the camera tab within their respective folders.

Click on a picture then click on the Dossier page to place it. Double Click the placed image to be able to scale and rotate it with the edit nodes.

Delete uploaded pictures from the account by selecting the image within the folder and clicking the trash can button to delete it from the account. (Note:Not Reversible)

Top Button Tray

Selection Tool

Use the selection tool to specifically select different types of markup on the map including symbols, pictures, drawings, or polygons.

Properties

When a symbol or polygon is selected, you can access the item's properties by clicking on the gear button in the top tray.

Add text to the item by typing into the "Text" box and change the font style by clicking the ellipses

Change the color and opacity of the item's fill with the Color property

Change the outline color and outline width of the item with the appropriate properties.

Move to Front

The Move Forward button will change the order of the selected item up to the topmost layer. In other words, if one placed item was being covered up by another symbol, picture, or drawing, this tool would move the selected item in front of the other items.

Move To Back

This will push the selected item behind all other items on the canvas.

Delete

Use the trashcan button to delete selected items off of the canvas. This includes pictures symbols, drawings, and polygons.

Marker Tool

The marker tool is used to highlight, draw on or mark-up a map or form.

The down arrow displays the tool's properties including color, opacity, and size.

Polygon Tool

The Polygon tool is used to create additional shapes on the map.

Once the polygon button has been selected, start left clicking on the Dossier page to draw a polygon. Finish the drawing by double left clicking on the page.

The Properties button is available to a selected polygon.
